2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing this website or engaging our services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or engage our services.
3. Description of Services
Majlis provides professional business advisory services to enterprises and business owners operating in or entering the UAE market. Services are delivered as described on our website and confirmed in individual engagement letters or service agreements. Availability is subject to capacity and mutual agreement.
4. Engagement and Client Responsibilities
Engagement Formation
A professional engagement is formed when both parties have agreed in writing to the scope, fee, and timeline, typically through an engagement letter. Website enquiries do not constitute a formal engagement.
Client Obligations
- Provide accurate and complete information relevant to the engagement
- Make key personnel available for interviews and sessions as agreed
- Respond to reasonable requests for documents and clarifications in a timely manner
- Treat all Majlis advisors with professional courtesy
5. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, design, and structural elements — is the property of Majlis Business Advisory and is protected under applicable UAE and international intellectual property law. Deliverables produced as part of a client engagement are provided to the client for their internal business use under a limited, non-exclusive licence. Clients may not share, reproduce, or commercialise engagement deliverables without prior written consent from Majlis.
6. Payment Terms
- Fees for each service are stated in AED and confirmed in the engagement letter
- Payment terms are agreed at the outset of each engagement
- Invoices are payable within 14 days of issue unless otherwise agreed
- Late payments may incur interest at the rate permitted under UAE law
- Refund requests are considered on a case-by-case basis, taking into account work completed at the time of the request
7. Confidentiality
Majlis treats all client information as strictly confidential. We will not disclose your business information to third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy or as required by law. We ask that clients treat any proprietary methodologies, frameworks, or materials provided during engagements with equivalent discretion.
8. Disclaimers
Advisory services are provided based on information available at the time of the engagement. Majlis does not represent that its recommendations will achieve specific business outcomes. Engagements involve professional judgement, not certainty. The implementation of recommendations remains the responsibility of the client.
Website content is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal, financial, or regulatory advice.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by UAE law, Majlis's liability for any claim arising from an engagement is limited to the total fees paid for that specific engagement. We shall not be liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses, including loss of profit or business opportunity, arising from the use of our services or website.
10. Termination
Either party may terminate an engagement by providing written notice as specified in the engagement letter. Upon termination, fees for work completed to the date of termination become due. Majlis may terminate without notice where a client's conduct materially breaches these Terms or makes continued engagement untenable.
11. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to first attempt resolution through good-faith discussion. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be referred to mediation under the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) rules. These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and the Emirate of Dubai.
12. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement — these Terms, together with any engagement letter, constitute the complete agreement between the parties
- Severability — if any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force
- Waiver — failure to enforce a provision does not constitute a waiver of that right
- Assignment — clients may not assign their rights under these Terms without Majlis's prior written consent
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last Updated" date indicates when changes were last made. Continued use of the website or engagement of services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
