Reflections from the Room
"We came to Majlis unsure of whether we were ready to expand or whether we needed to fix something fundamental first. That was exactly the right question to start with — and Khalid helped us see it clearly. The growth roadmap we ended up with was specific enough to be actionable and honest about what the risks were."
Faisal Al-Hamdan
Managing Director · Dubai
Strategic Growth · March 2025
"Sara spent two weeks inside our operations — speaking with team members at every level. What she found was not what we expected. The report was uncomfortable in places, which is exactly what we needed. The changes we made in the three months following were the most meaningful operational improvements in five years."

Operational Assessment · February 2025
"As a company entering the UAE from abroad, we had a reasonable amount of information — but not the contextual understanding you can only get from someone who has spent years working inside this market. Nadia's knowledge of freezone structures and local partnership dynamics was particularly valuable."
Marcus König
Founder, Tech Firm · Germany / Dubai
Market Entry · January 2025
"What I appreciated most was that they did not tell us what we wanted to hear. The competitive analysis challenged some of our assumptions about our market position — which was useful, even if not entirely comfortable. The bi-weekly check-ins kept things moving without feeling like pressure."
Noura Al-Abdulla
General Manager, Retail Group · Abu Dhabi
Strategic Growth · December 2024
"We engaged Majlis for a focused operational review before a period of growth. The process was efficient and did not require significant time from our team beyond the scheduled interviews. The prioritised recommendation list gave us a clear sequence to work through — exactly what we needed at that stage."
James Thornton
Director, Professional Services · DIFC
Operational Assessment · November 2024
"We had been through a strategic planning process before with a larger firm — the outputs were comprehensive but difficult to use. With Majlis, the final brief was shorter, clearer, and far more connected to the decisions we actually needed to make. The difference was in how much they listened before writing anything."

Three Engagements, Told in Full
A Family Business Preparing for the Second Generation
Strategic Growth Advisory · 10-week engagement
The Situation
A well-established family trading company in Dubai was preparing to hand operational leadership to the founder's daughter. The incoming director wanted to understand the business's competitive position before making structural decisions.
The Work
Majlis conducted a full market and internal review, including interviews with ten senior staff members, a competitive landscape analysis across three market segments, and a resources and capacity assessment. Stakeholder workshops were held with both generations of leadership.
The Outcome
The final growth plan provided a phased three-year direction with clear decision points. The incoming director described the process as "the most structured conversation about the business we have ever had as a family."
An Operations Review Before Rapid Expansion
Operational Efficiency Assessment · 4-week engagement
The Situation
A professional services firm with forty staff was planning to double in size within eighteen months. The managing partner was concerned that existing workflows would not hold under growth pressure and wanted an independent view before committing to the expansion.
The Work
On-site observations across two weeks, staff interviews at team and management levels, and process mapping across client intake, delivery, and billing workflows. The assessment identified six areas of friction, prioritised by operational impact.
The Outcome
Three of the six improvements were implemented within eight weeks of the final report. The firm proceeded with its expansion, with measurably shorter client onboarding cycles as one of the early indicators of improvement.
A European Firm Finding Its Footing in Dubai
Market Entry Consultation · Three half-day sessions
The Situation
An architecture and design consultancy based in Germany wanted to establish a presence in the UAE. They had done background research but lacked practical understanding of licensing pathways, local partnerships, and client culture in the Gulf.
The Work
Three structured half-day sessions covering the UAE regulatory environment, freezone vs. mainland structures, local partnership norms, and sector-specific client culture. Introductions to two vetted licensing specialists were provided.
The Outcome
The firm completed its UAE registration within five months of the consultation. They described the market readiness brief as a document they returned to repeatedly during the process and have since been engaged on two Gulf projects.
